Synology's product developers create cutting-edge products that are used by millions of users. Our data storage, networking, and surveillance products are powered by our in-house software, giving us a unique edge in today's competitive market. We are looking for engineers that want to make an impact and can bring in fresh ideas to help us expand our team of enthusiastic developers. People today cannot live without data. Data such as files and photos can be shared with friends, family, and colleagues on a daily basis. Our team aims to provide convenient, personal, and home storage solutions that help our customers easily store and access their files wherever they are. As a Product Developer, you will be tasked with developing easy-to-adopt solutions that enrich our customers' lives. You will: - Develop reliable and high-performance applications for data management, syncing, and sharing that run on mainstream Windows and macOS platforms - Develop applications on Linux servers that serve files reliably and efficiently while coordinating with PC clients - Work closely with other engineers, PMs, designers, and even our customers to discover ways to solve real-world user requirements and technical challenges - Analyze and contribute toward the product's software roadmap, development process, and auto-testing procedures

You are expected to have: - Experience in software development with proficiency in at least one of the following: C, C++, JavaScript, Python - Ability to work independently and as part of a team We're targeting candidates with: - Experience creating Electron.js applications on Windows or macOS platforms - Experience with TypeScript and front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue, React) - Experience in Linux system programming - Experience working on and debugging multi-process and multi-threaded applications - A passion for writing clean, maintainable code with a strong emphasis on software architecture best practices - Familiarity working with databases: PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis
