The Assistant Training Manager reports into the Head of Taiwan and will drive the education and training initiatives, enabling brand ambassadors and promoters to represent our brands well on the retail floor. The Assistant Training Manager will design and implement training to strengthen their knowledge of the brand and eventually drive sellout and consumer loyalty across local market.
▌Principal Objectives
• Deliver the core education initiatives primarily to retail staffs, as well as office team.
• To develop and demonstrate brand knowledge, and service experience to achieve KPI
The role requires an excellent communicator who can collaborate well with multiple internal and external teams (clients and distributors). He/she will adapt global brand guidelines and training materials to suit the needs of each brand, market and consumers within the region assigned.
Functions and Responsibilities:
▌Partnership with Global Education and Training
• Provide bi-annual training reports to HQ to facilitate better understanding of our region
• Provide feedback on training tools which are cascaded through by HQ and provide insights on local needs
▌Training Strategy
• Develop in collaboration with the Head of Taiwan, Retail Manager, Area Manager and Marketing team an education and training plan for the region assigned
• Establish regular and consistent communication and updates on the training plan and tactics to all key internal and external stakeholders
• To set up each store's KPI target (CVR/ ATV/ UPT) and improve plan from training perspective.
• Support brand marketing in-store events.
• On daily and regular basis to evaluate frontline performance and coach to enhance their performance and drive self-motivation.
• To share store visiting agenda monthly to manager and stakeholders (Retail Manager) and provide the post-store visiting report monthly.
• Plan and manage the assigned annual training budget
▌Training Design and Delivery
• Review and adapt global training material for each brand/market/channel, taking into consideration limitations of time, budgets and the different setups
• Procure all necessary training materials including (but not limited to):
o HQ developed material and incentives, which are part of the annual forecasting process
o Ingredient samples or other training aids, which may be sourced externally
• Develop local training materials which may not be available from HQ, when necessary.
• Establish and manage effective regular communication tools required to update brand ambassadors/promoters/distributors’ trainers on Puig and its fragrance brands through multiple communication channels
• Conduct training workshops via both offline and online methods
• Manage the process of creating, updating and translating current training material/documents to ensure relevancy for the region assigned
▌Training Delivery Management and Evaluation
• To develop key training initiatives (new product launches, onboarding training, on field coaching) to improve staff productivity and service skill.
• To handle and investigate on customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products.
• Immerse the brand vision, story-telling and articulate, influence critical stakeholders (retail team) to get on board with the strategy, optimizing brand growth.
• Create and maintain a training schedule and identify training venues to ensure the optimal use of the annual travel budget and resources
• Responsible for receiving, arranging, storing and dispatching all training materials at regional office or to external training facilities
• Provide post training evaluation reports for review with marketing and commercial teams to determine if short term adjustments are needed to the annual training plan.
